Dr. Sehee Ryu is the leader of multilateral export control regime and technology team at the Korean Security Agency of Trade and Industry(KOSTI). He has been a technical advisor to the Export Control Division of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (MOTIE) and the Defense Acquisition Program Administration(DAPA) and participating in the Wassenaar Arrangement Expert Group’s Meeting since 2011. He has advised several policy authorities in Korea and has contributed to improving public awareness of Korea's trade security and trade policies. Prior to joining KOSTI, he served as a senior researcher at the Korea Institute of Energy Technology Evaluation and Planning and as a consultant at the Korean Intellectual Property Association. With over 20 years of experience in technology R&D and export control, he has consulted on various policy issues including Korean Industry Analysis using HS Code, Catch-all Items’ Technical Performance Comparison, Conventional Arms’ Components Analysis, Supply Chain Analysis of Emerging Technology, etc. He has also participated in various international export control regimes except WA, such as NSG and MTCR on behalf of Republic of Korea.
